If this past year has shown most of us something, it’s that home offices can range from dining room tables, to bedrooms or basements. The most important thing is that you have a designated area for work or, in some cases, remote learning.
If you’re working or learning from home, feng shui will help you create a space that makes you feel peaceful, focused, and productive.
Feng shui will also help you create a free flow of energy, which means more abundance in your life. Yes, we are talking more money, more time, more freedom, and more joy!
Feng shui cleaning focuses on creating more chi energy, or life energy, in the home with intention. This "chi" energy can be blocked by clutter and grime, which creates a depressed state. According to Feng shui principles, our homes are a mirror of what's happening inside us, so clearing them out using a few simple tips can literally give us a mental lift, creating opportunities and improving mental energy.
Besides improving the aesthetics of a space, plants invite the energy of nature into your home or office. Plants are great for bringing vital life energy to any room, and when strategically placed, we can begin to attract things like wealth, abundance, growth and creativity.
In May of 2016 my boyfriend, Alexis, and I embarked on one of my favorite adventures to date. Iceland is the most magical, breath-taking country I have ever been to. Waterfalls around every turn, hikes to mountain tops over looking lava field, natural hot springs, and weather that is so unpredictable the locals like to say, "if you're unhappy with the weather, just wait five minutes."
If you're into health and wellness, you've probably seen this word thrown around the wellness community a lot lately, and it's for good reason.
Adaptogens are a class of plants that are thought to fight stress and balance the body. Many adaptogens have been used for hundreds of years in a variety of cultures and some are commonly found in ayurveda.
It is no secret I LOVE to travel (peep the travel portion of this blog). I love to explore new places, adventure, and try new things. If you know me, you know I DREAD flying. Once booking a trip, I may have anticipatory anxiety for weeks leading up to my flight, if I don't take the necessary measures for myself to relieve it. But my friends who can relate, there is hope. I manage to travel for leisure and work, and although it is by no means something I would go out of my way to do, I have found what works for me and hopefully you who may be suffering as well.
You know those days or weeks that leave you feeling drained? You wake up Monday anxious for Friday, or 5pm comes around at work and you can't wait to get home and get in bed? I find it can be way too easy to fall into that rut and stay there, spiraling out of control. Stay ahead of that negativity and spiral, by practicing self-care as often as you possibly can. Make time for it. Schedule it.
Keto/paleo/vegan, refined sugar free - so good and SO easy. These are a staple to have in the freezer for dessert!
Keto, Paleo, Whole30 and full of those healthy fats! So easy, just throw all ingredients into a food processor, form into balls and you’re done!
I find the easiest way for me to stay “healthy” and on track during the week is to prep larger breakfasts ahead of time that reheat well and last me all week. My go-to for years has been a quiche-type egg-bake thing—it works, and it’s good!
